David Ribbe earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from Virginia Tech
in 1993. He has extensive experience in dealing with medical, legal, and
governmental professionals and agencies. Specifically, David has worked
with colleges and universities; hospitals and medical centers; social
services agencies; physicians and attorneys; and local, state, and federal
agencies.
David and his wife, Kelley live in a large house that they enjoy
renovating with the help of their six children, ranging in age from 7 to
20. The oldest daughter is a student at Virginia Tech; the oldest son and
second daughter attend Giles High School, where Kelley teaches Spanish;
and the three youngest attend Macy McClaugherty Elementary & Middle School
in Pearisburg. The family is closely involved with the starting and
operation of The Courthouse Cafe, in the heart of Pearisburg.
David first came to the New River Valley area in 1966. So far, he and his
family have lived in Blacksburg, Christiansburg, and now Pearisburg. He
considers himself a true Citizen of the New River Valley.
